The Metro South under 12's Squad was a combined representative Football team of players from Southern Districts, Bankstown and Macarthur. The district was represented by Matthew Stewart, Nathan Bertolissio, Luke Pereira, Lachlan Everett and Trent Sierra.

The boys played against quality opposition from other combined Sydney Meropolitan areas as well as the country region. The state titles were held at Mudgee last week where players had to brave some cold and torrential conditions. Met South actually won this prestigous tournament which highlighted the development and success MDSFA contributed to.

Chairman Rob Burns was kept up to date by the teams success which saw these 5 players (pictured) play an integral role towards an undefeated record of 7 wins and 1 draw. "By all reports it looked like the team had control of the tournament early by beating some highly fancied opposition early on in the week". Mr Burns went on to say that he was proud of the way the boys conducted themselves on and off the field during the 5 day tournament. "Each player displayed exceptional skills and sportsmanship in Mundgee and I hope the boys' efforts will inspire kids to work hard towards representative football in the Macarthur area".

Macarthur Rams trials start next month and we look forward to seeing more Football talent showcased in Macarthur.
