RAMS UNDER 14 GIRLS CROWNED CHAMPIONS
|
| |
The Macarthur Rams Under 14 Girls side added the title of Grand Final Champions to their list of credits in the 2010 season after a hard fought win in the title decider at Balls Paddock, Woonona last Sunday.
The girls, who had already been crowned Premiers after finishing atop the competition table in the season proper, were taken to extra time in an exciting Grand Final tussle with Inter Lions. After being locked 0-0 at the end of normal time the two teams both had chances to break the deadlock in extra time before Laura Murtagh, a product of local MDSFA competition side Camden Soccer Club, scored the winner.
The girls have enjoyed a wonderful season. Coach Kevin Walsh and Manager Janelle Blayney are to be congratulated for the fine job they've done in steering the team to success in 2010. It was good to see a number of the Macarthur Rams Women's Premier League side at Balls Paddock to cheer the girls to victory.
Team Captain Kaila Blayney introduced her team to the crowd at the medal presentation after the match and accepted the champion's plaque from Football NSW Life Member, Florence Stephenson.
Congratulations to the Macarthur Rams Under 14 Girls, 2010 CHAMPIONS! |
