In breaking news, Raul Blanco has thrown his support behind Regional Football Development by accepting a role as Technical Director of both the MDSFA and the Macarthur Rams Soccer Club.

This is exciting news for NSW fastest growing population area for the next 20 years (refer State Government Gazetted South West Regional Development Zone), and shows that Macarthur as a region, is prepared to dedicate resources to improving coaching and player development.

Raul's extensive media contacts and high esteem he is held within the Australian and World Football communities, will help to build the regions profile and deliver tangible results.

With development in the region equivalent to placing Canberra on greenfields sites in the Camden municipality over the next 15 years, there is no doubt the region needs to be given recognition over and above simply being grouped with Fairfield based Clubs, some 35 kilometres away.

Raul has held the position of Australian National Coach, Australian Assistant National Coach (under 3 different National Coaches), Australian Olympic Coach and many other key positions over a 20 year period. His professionalism will be a major boost to the Macarthur Region in terms of local competition coaching programs and in the representative teams of all ages.
