CHANGING OF THE GUARD.

Thankyou and Farewell ...

Regrettably for Macarthur District Soccer Football Association, the current CEO, Bill Kostandas has gained a position as CEO of Football Federation Northern Territory and finishes his Macarthur duties on 9 th January 2009.

Bill was appointed in 2007 to oversee the functioning of the two branches of Macarthur Soccer; the local club competition and the Macarthur Rams. In that time, Bill has managed to forge strong connections with Football NSW, the three local councils and various local businesses and dignitaries that have generally promoted the profile of soccer within Macarthur. He has also offered support to the Local Competition by beginning the process of restructuring the registration process and overall structure of the organisation processes within Macarthur.

Unfortunately, his visions for the promotion and further development of football within Macarthur will not be realised by his endeavours, and with deep gratitude, we wish Bill and his wife Therese, the very best for the move to the Northern Territory, and in his commencement as CEO.

Congratulations and Welcome

Fortunately for Macarthur Football, after 33 applications for the Competition Manager role, the Board were able to shortlist three exemplary candidates to interview for Bill's position. The interviews were conducted last week and came down to two, almost impossible to distinguish.

However, because of his proven and broad experience within the local competition structures and community, consequent understanding of Board processes, and future vision for Macarthur football, Glenn Armstrong was offered the role and happily accepted. Glenn takes up the position officially when the office re-opens on January 12 th 2009.

Glenn will be accompanied by a new Competition Manager. Interviews were conducted this week and the successful applicant will be notified early next week.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and local football community, I would like to thank Bill for his hard work and successes for Macarthur football, and welcome Glenn and his new manager into what will be a highly successful and efficient 2009 season of football at every level within Macarthur!
